Common Names: Pineapple, Pine Apple
 
Description: Ananas comosus (Pineapple) is a member of the Bromeliad Family (Bromeliaceae). The Hortus Kewensis, ed. 2, vol. 2  recorded that the pineapple is a native to South America and was first cultivated in Britain in 1690.
