Description: Nuphar sp. (Yellow Pond Lily) is a member of the Water Lily Family (Nymphaeaceae). The Hortus Kewensis, ed. 2, vol. 3, p. 295 lists three species variously native to Britain, Canada, and North America.  Plants of the genus Nuphar are now known to be widespread across the temperate to subarctic Northern Hemisphere.
